The Outside of a Horse

My sweet husband encouraged me to compete this weekend.

I was nervous but he said,

Go! Make it a mini-mom vacation.

It was a joy to camp, read a book under the stars, and enjoy a beautiful sunrise opening up to a sunny day.

Even though I was still a ball of anxiety, I made it through.

As mothers it's important to keep a piece of who you were before you have kids, for me it has been that feeling of being atop a horse.
